Get Tasty shows you great places to dine out in your local area, all with a food hygiene rating of 4 stars or more and matched to your personal tastes. Discover restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars and food outlets near you, review your experiences and share your favourite finds with the Get Tasty community.

Beta testing will take place at the end of November, with the app officially launching in December 2019. We invite you to participate in beta testing for a first look at the Get Tasty app. You can pre-register here.

Although we do list some restaurants with a takeaway option (e.g. fish and chips), Get Tasty is primarily a dining app. Therefore, we only list places with a seated area for diners.

There are several ways we can match you:

  • Tell us your preferences and any dietary requirements that you have, and we’ll find restaurants to suit you
  • Use menu search to explore local venues that serve the dishes you want
  • Search using advanced filters (e.g. dog-friendly, sea view) to discover places that match your must-have criteria

Simply look it up! You can search for any menu dish, including sides. Don’t be afraid to be really specific.

For example, you could search for: steak and ale pie with chunky chips and peas.

Get Tasty will find the best matched results, filtered by your preferences.

Yes, all of those! You can set your profile preferences to show dishes that suit your dietary requirements. That also includes any food allergies you have. The more you tell us, the more helpful we can be!

You can set your preferences to exclude foods containing certain allergens. Menus on Get Tasty show which allergens are in specific dishes, but we advise you to double check with the restaurants before you order, in case ingredients have changed since.

Promotional offers can be found in your Wallet. For more special offers and discounts, check your main user dashboard to see what’s new.

Food hygiene ratings are determined by the Food Standards Agency, to inform diners about the cleanliness of food and facilities at an establishment. This includes how food is handled, prepared and stored. A 4-star rating means that “hygiene standards are good”, with a 5-star rating being “very good”.

We check all images uploaded with reviews for quality and authenticity. Restaurants also have the option to manually approve or disapprove images.

Like the rest of our app features, we want to perfect our table reservations service to make it as good as it possibly can be. We’re currently squirrelling away with research and development, and also need testing time to make sure everything is tickety-boo. It’ll be worth the wait!
